With two decades worth of dedicated service as Badden Farm Nursery, Bloomfield Childcare welcomed the nursery into the group in 2024 where it has built on its impressive reputation for high-quality childcare and its genuine community spirit. Its unique farm location allows children to benefit from outdoor learning every day—exploring nature, enjoying wide-open spaces, and engaging in meaningful interactions with animals. This hands-on, nature-rich environment helps foster confidence, curiosity, and a deep sense of wellbeing. Long trusted by families across Lochgilphead and beyond, the nursery continues to provide a warm, nurturing space where children can grow, learn, and thrive.

Overview

Bloomfield Childcare Lochgilphead, is a unique and inspiring early learning setting where nature, nurture, and high-quality care come together. Set within the beautiful surroundings of Badden Farm, our purpose-built nursery offers a warm, family-focused environment where children can learn, explore, and thrive every day. We welcome up to 53 children per day, ensuring a nurturing, community-focused atmosphere where every child is valued and supported.

Baby Rooms

Our cosy and welcoming baby room provides a calm, homely environment where staff can nurture and support our youngest learners. The space includes: Direct access to the garden, allowing babies to explore outdoors safely, a purpose-built sensory room designed to support early development through light, texture, sound, and movement and a caring team who build strong bonds and support each child’s individual routine, comfort, and wellbeing.

Toddler Rooms

Inside our playrooms, children engage in a rich variety of creative and open-ended experiences. Through loose parts play, natural materials, and child-led exploration, staff encourage imagination, problem solving, communication, independence, and a deep sense of curiosity. Our environment is designed to inspire children to follow their interests and discover new learning each day.

Farm-Based Learning & Outdoor Adventures

One of the highlights of Bloomfield Childcare Lochgilphead is its incredible natural environment. Children experience the magic of farm life through: Exploration of our forest area, lovingly known as “The Stumps”, opportunities to feed and care for our lambs, chickens, and our wonderful four donkeys and picking fresh fruit from our orchard trees. Additionally, there is daily active outdoor play in our direct-access gardens which offer experiences that support confidence, responsibility, and a strong connection with nature.
