Safeguarding & Child Protection

Bloomfield Childcare Group is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children in our care. We follow national guidance, adhere to Care Inspectorate standards, and ensure that safeguarding is embedded in every aspect of our practice.

Our Responsibilities

We will:

• Protect children from harm, neglect, abuse, and exploitation

• Maintain robust safeguarding and child protection policies

• Train all staff in child protection procedures

• Work closely with local authorities and agencies

• Respond swiftly to concerns and record all actions accurately

Designated Child Protection Lead

Each nursery has a designated Child Protection Lead responsible for overseeing safeguarding concerns. Their contact details are available in the nursery and upon request.

Raising a Concern

If you have a safeguarding concern regarding a child, please speak to the Nursery Manager or Child Protection Lead immediately.

In an emergency, contact Police Scotland on 999.
